On Saturday, June 21, 2026, the Queennaap Foundation marked its 3rd anniversary with a landmark community sanitation exercise in Nsuontem Afigya. Partnering with the Nkwankwaa Nuase Keep Fit Club, dozens of volunteers — young and old, men and women — turned out at 6:00 AM sharp to sweep streets, clear choked drains, and remove refuse from public spaces across the community.
The theme was clear: "A Clean Community, A Healthy Community, A Stronger Future." And the energy on the ground matched every word of it.
Wearing matching Queennaap Foundation branded t-shirts, the volunteers moved through the streets of Nsuontem with brooms, shovels, and wheelie bins. Young men swept the main roads while women cleared overgrown gutters and drains that had become breeding grounds for mosquitoes. Children tagged along, learning early what it means to serve their community.
The work went beyond surface sweeping. Volunteers dug out clogged drains by hand, cleared silt and debris from drainage channels, and tackled areas that had been neglected for months. It was hard, physical labour — but the spirit was high. Laughter, encouragement, and the shared sense of purpose carried everyone through the morning.
What made this exercise special was the diversity of participants. From the Nkwankwaa Nuase Keep Fit Club members to foundation volunteers, from teenagers to mothers, everyone played a part. The event also included a health talk and fellowship refreshments after the work was done — a reminder that community development is not just about infrastructure, but about the bonds we build along the way.
This cleanup exercise is just the latest chapter in three years of consistent community service by the Queennaap Foundation. From educational support and elder care to youth empowerment and widow upliftment, the foundation — led by Nana Adwoa Amankwah Pam I (Nsuontem Nkosuohemaa) — continues to prove that one person's vision can transform an entire community.
One Queennaap. Many Lives Transformed.
The work doesn't stop here. Whether it's the next cleanup, a school donation, or a community health outreach, there's always a way to get involved. Your hands, your time, and your generosity can help keep Nsuontem Afigya shining.
